Covington, Ind. - Robert John Foster, 58, of Covington, died Thursday(June7, 1973) at his home. He was born Nov 3, 1914, in Tama, Iowa, the son of Robert Ernest and Helen Anderson Foster. He married Elizabeth Jayne Stone July 30, 1937, who survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Jean) Ricketts of Covington, Mrs. Thomas (Janice)Burch of Kingman Rt 2, and Mrs. Donald (Carol) Schultz of Bismarck; a son Robert of Covington; and 20 grandchildren. He was a former resident of Brevard, N.C., and Clinton, Iowa. He had worked for the Olin Co. for over 20 years and had been casting day supervisor. He retired in 1970 due to ill health. Private services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Ernest Moore will officiate. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The family has requested that memorials be in the form of contributions to the heart fund.
